Campo Marzio

Campo Marzio is the historic district at the centre of Rome, set between the Tiber and the slopes of the Pincian Hill, within walking distance of Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. Its streets are lined with palazzi, churches and long-established shops and cafés, and much of the area is given over to pedestrians and visitors rather than to quiet residential life. Property here is largely period apartments in older buildings, prized for the location and the setting rather than for new construction.
