There are apartments that you choose by looking at a floor plan, and then there are houses in which you just have to enter to understand that someone, before us, has been able to transform spaces into a real home, this is one of them. "La Dimora" is located on the second and last floor of a small complex recently renovated and already from the entrance it shows what makes it different: wooden beams, terracotta bricks, brick arches and lots of light tell the character of the Tuscan tradition, while the rooms and finishes make it an extremely modern house. The heart of the house is the large double living room, a large, warm and welcoming environment in which the relaxation area and dining area coexist without stealing space. It is one of those living rooms that are not simply a room in the house, but the place where you immediately imagine life: a dinner with friends, a Sunday on the sofa, an evening that ends much later than expected thanks to the corner bar that has been designed ad hoc. To make it even more special are the exposed beams and bricks, protagonists in almost all rooms and capable of giving the house that feeling of authenticity that can hardly be artificially recreated. Through a beautiful brick arch we reach the kitchen, And here too the spaces have not been sacrificed: it is a real eat-in kitchen, modern and functional, with all the necessary space even for the table where you can eat your daily meals; on the same floor we also find a study, very precious for those who work from home or want a space of their own, a separate laundry room and the first bathroom. But "La Dimora" has not yet shown its most intimate part, an internal staircase leads to the attic floor, where the house changes atmosphere and becomes even more intimate, here we find the double bedroom, large and bright, with the charm of the exposed beams and that particular atmosphere that only a top floor can give, near the bedroom a real closet room has been created: not the usual wardrobe tucked in where it happens, but a dedicated space, also lit from above, in which to organize clothes, shoes and accessories leaving the sleeping area completely free. To complete the floor we find the second bathroom, thus making the sleeping area practically independent from the rest of the house. And it is precisely this division on two levels that is, in my opinion, one of the strengths of the property: below you live, cook, receive friends and work; above you retreat into your own private dimension. "La Dimora" is in excellent condition, cared for in every room and without the feeling of having to start an endless list of works as soon as you receive the keys, it is also sold partially furnished, an important advantage especially considering how much some furnishings have been designed precisely for these spaces. It is a particular house, and for this reason I don't think it is intended for everyone... it is for those who entering an apartment are not only looking for square meters and number of rooms, but want character, warmth and something that is difficult to find in the house next door. Because an apartment can simply be the place where we live, a Dimora is the place where we choose to stay.
