Ansalaregina house — contemporary architecture, memory and nature There are properties that can be described through surfaces, number of rooms and technical characteristics. And then there are houses for which, before square meters, it is necessary to tell a story. In the countryside of Scortichino, in the Bondeno area, we offer a residence of contemporary architecture of about 355 square meters, surrounded by about 5 hectares of land. Ansalaregina House was born where for generations there has been a building linked to the life and work of a local family. A place made up of countryside, sacrifices and memories that the owner has chosen not to abandon, facing an important reconstruction project with the aim of creating a completely new home without interrupting the relationship with its history and with the surrounding land. The result is a residence with a decidedly contemporary character, designed by architect Moreno Pivetti, in which materials, volumes, light and landscape become part of the same project. The architecture reinterprets the traditional relationship between home and countryside through a completely new language. Wood plays a fundamental role, both from a structural point of view and in the perception of the rooms, while the large glass surfaces allow natural light and the surrounding landscape to continuously enter the house. One of the most representative elements of the residence is the large central space developed at triple height. Here the iron and wooden staircase crosses the building vertically, connecting the different levels through different balconies and perspectives. The light coming from above accompanies this space and helps to create a feeling of openness difficult to find in a traditional home. A precise design choice: to privilege the quality of space, light and the perception of architecture rather than simply exploiting the available surface. Even from a construction point of view, the house expresses a modern conception of living. The structure is built with X-Lam technology and particular attention has been paid to the performance of the envelope and energy efficiency. The residence has, among other features, wooden windows with triple low-emission glass, radiant floor heating, heat pump and systems for the use of renewable energy. But probably the most important feature of Ansalaregina House does not appear in any technical sheet. It is her relationship with her surroundings. About five hectares of property envelop the residence and allow you to experience this place with privacy and freedom that is difficult to replicate. From the large openings of the house, the gaze crosses the countryside and reaches an almost uninterrupted horizon. Inside, a contemporary architecture. Outside, the Ferrara countryside. Two apparently distant worlds that were designed to coexist here. Ansalaregina House therefore represents a proposal that is difficult to compare with the normal residential market in the area: not only in terms of size, construction characteristics and available land, but above all for the architectural identity and history from which it was born. A house built looking to the future without erasing its past. Because some houses belong to a place. Others end up becoming part of it.
