Mercato San Severino

Mercato San Severino is a town in Campania, southern Italy, set in the Irno valley at the foot of the Picentini mountains, a short distance inland from Salerno. It grew around a historic market and a medieval castle, and today combines an old centre with newer residential neighbourhoods, with road and rail links that make it practical for commuting to Salerno and nearby towns. Property here is largely family homes and apartments in a lived-in, mostly local community.
