San Salvario

San Salvario is a central district of Turin, in the Piedmont region of north-west Italy, sitting between the historic centre and the river Po. Its regular street grid is lined largely with nineteenth-century apartment buildings, and it borders the Valentino park and gardens near Porta Nuova railway station. The area is known for a busy street life of cafés, shops and evening venues, and for a mixed resident population, with housing ranging from period flats to newer conversions.
