Alessandria

Alessandria is a provincial city in Piedmont, set in the flat Po Valley between Turin and Milan and crossed by the Tanaro and Bormida rivers. Its compact historic centre, ringed by the eighteenth-century citadel, mixes period apartment buildings with quieter residential neighbourhoods and good rail connections to the surrounding region.
