San Salvatore

San Salvatore is a small town in Liguria, in north-western Italy, set in the Entella valley just inland from the coastal towns of Chiavari and Lavagna. It is known above all for the Romanesque Basilica of San Salvatore dei Fieschi, which gives the settlement its quiet, historic centre, surrounded by hillsides of olive groves and scattered houses. As a place to live, it offers a village setting close to the sea and to larger centres, with a housing stock of older village homes and detached houses on the slopes.
